Corpus Mater
Corpus Mater examines the body through its material traces.
The title can be translated as «the mother’s body», refers to the body not as a symbol of motherhood but as evidence of transformation. Rather than focusing on culturally established images of care, sacrifice, or devotion, the project turns to the physical processes that remain largely invisible despite shaping the maternal experience.
Through photography, video, biological materials, and performative gestures, I explore the ways in which the experience of motherhood becomes inscribed into the body. The project approaches the maternal body as a document of the biological process through which new life emerges
